ESSENCE
Juno Vale is the warm light that turns out to have teeth. She brings gold into NOXA’s black-violet world: beauty, warmth, danger, and controlled emotional burn.
FROM THE CASTING BIBLE
Cast a musical-theatre kid. Specifically: someone who did the Australian touring cast of Heathers or Six or & Juliet at sixteen and got tired of doing other people’s songs eight times a week. She auditioned for a Seoul agency at eighteen because she wanted dance and pop instead of stage doors and matinees. The training was hellish for her — the Korean alone took two years to feel right — but the voice was already there.
Visually: 5’4”, warmer brown skin tone than the other four, which is the point. NOXA’s color palette runs cold — violets, chromes, bruise-purple — and Juno is the gold thread that keeps the group from looking like a single mood board. Hair: copper-brown or honey-blonde to lean into the “gold warmth” coding. Full features, the smile that ends a stage at the end of Velvet Gravity — and the same smile, half a second later in the choreography, becomes the face that lands the line “I don’t cry, I refract.” That’s the casting brief in one beat.
Vocally: the powerhouse. Soulful belt, R&B runs, capable of a Whitney key change without losing breath support. Carries every bridge on the album. The “gold warmth hiding teeth” descriptor is real — her clean tone is the warmth, her chest-voice growl on Black Halo and Afterglow Venom is the teeth.
Off-camera she’s the dorm’s center of gravity in a different way than Sora. The extrovert. Fills the kitchen with noise. Cries easily, never on stage. Eats more than the other four combined and the choreographer has stopped trying to fight it.

SONG TERRITORY
Juno owns the melodic lift in Black Halo, Chrome Tears, and the bridge of Velvet Gravity.
AUDITION MOMENT
a stripped piano version of Chrome Tears in one take, no autotune, microphone on. If she can sell “I don’t cry, I refract” without performing it, she’s Juno.
